On Halloween night, The Hammondsport National Honor Society held their annual Trick-Or-Treat Food Drive for Fishes and Loaves, the local food pantry. HCS Seniors Allison, Arielle, Logan, Silas, Zayda, LaZell, Corinne, Brooke, Silas, and Keegan were all humbled and inspired by our community's support, hauling in 185 more pounds of goods than last year for families in need in our area... A total of 786 pounds! Thank you to the Hammondsport NHS as well as the community for making this amazing thing happen!
The weather was perfect for the annual Halloween parade. Our students and staff all looked amazing. There was fun to be had all over the building.

On October 15th, Librarian Mrs. Robarge helped organize an incredible opportunity for our 4th graders to learn more about Native American Culture. She contacted Duane Saxton, who came to talk to our 4th graders about the rich history of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy in NYS. He was a wealth of information for our kids.

Today we officially welcomed our new students to Glenn Curtiss Elementary with our new student luncheon. These newest Lakers were treated to a special lunch and dessert provided by our amazing cafeteria staff.

Today Glenn Curtiss Elementary welcomed back Jared Campbell an award winning singer/songwriter from upstate New York. He performed to our students PK-6th. His message focused on overcoming obstacles, anti-bullying, respect, leadership and having an amazing outlook on life. What an amazing way to start off the year!
