December 11th - December 16th
This past week students in our 4th grade classes heard the story "America's White Table." They learned about the significance of the white table, and helped to set two in our elementary hallways. Veteran's were welcomed into the classrooms to share about their experiences.
Today, Glenn Curtiss Elementary honored our hometown heroes during our annual Veteran's Day Ceremony. Thank you to all of the men and women who have proudly served our country.

Mr. Bower will be hosting a second town hall on the topic of the future of HCS athletics on Wednesday, November 8th at 6pm in the school cafeteria. This will be a conversation and sharing of ideas, NOT a presentation. Please come prepared to have a dialogue as we work to problem solve together. Go LAKERS!!

October 30th - November 4th
Yesterday, author John Schu visited Hammondsport and presented to students in grades 2nd-8th. Each student received the book, "The One and Only Ivan." Mr. Schu shared his passion and love for reading and writing stories with our students. Thank you to Mrs. Robarge for making this special event happen!

Fire Prevention Week culminated with a visit from the Hammondsport Fire Department, a puppet show by the Oliver Girls, and a visit to the firehouse.
Hammondsport Central School will have an opening for School Registered Nurse in the 24-25 school year. We would like to have the next school nurse start in early spring in an effort to allow the new nurse to work alongside our AWESOME school nurse Mrs. Dickinson for a few months.
